Well, I haven't seen a tutorial on this, but I just had to do it myself to make my WD 80Gig fit, so I'll give you a quick rundown...
First- you see how both the power and the IDE connectors are able to move about somewhat freely? If you open up the network adapter, you can see that both connectors are attached to a metal backing with rivets which allow the connectors to have a bit of "play" in their positioning. All you need to do is drill/dremel out the "slider" holes to allow the connectors to be in the correct position. It's pretty easy once you're looking at it... if you have any problems, I suppose I could write a small tutorial on the subject with pictures and such...
Oh, if you're REALLY having problems, you could always just remove both of the rivets, put the thing back together and just be careful whenever you plug/unplug the thing. If it's all attached and installed in the PS2, once you tighten the screws on the back of the network adapter, the drive isn't going to be going anywhere... unless you swing your PS2 around by the controller cables or like to shake it for some reason

thx for the replies, i already modded it though, i was so impatient to get it working i just started fiddling with it, im a comp technician (real job, lol) so it wasnt that hard, i just wanted some feedback first. all i did was take off the front cover, remove the torx screws, move the ide connector to the right (power couldnt go to left anymore or itd be outside the damned unit) then i soddered it into place since there wasnt a slot for the screws to slide. it works great

That tutorial was once on our website but when the site got lost I never rewrote it. If you unscrew the metal plate on the network adapter you can move the IDE and power connectors around, no soldering needed, and it doesn't harm your hard drive or ps2 at all

I say no sticky.... too many stickies already.
Anyway most people have hdds that fit the na without modifications.
I think we should make one sticky page that leads to a page of a bunch of stickies. Sort of like the Uber Sticky Page or something......
Equipment Specs:
V7 PS2 Messiah 2 Pro Mod /
Seagate 200GB 7200 RPM HDD
Ext HDD Mod
Works Like a Charm! Already filled up all 183 gb!

Or group the stickies in another pseudo-sticky based on reference.. for e.g. HDloader mods, skins and GUIs etc in one sticky
