need help updating hdl, and yes i have searched the forum

hello,

im more than ready for numerous people who know what they are doing to tell me to f**k off, but i have searched the forums and found no reply to my question, so PLEASE help me.

Ive been using the HDD since HDL came out and had no problems, however fewer games are compatible now. right now ive got a modded ps2 and copys of hdl and hda i downloaded from the internet (so i didnt have to use the originals i bought for fear of scratching them, obviously). so i have the 2 .iso's. now i want to update my hdl (as it seems the most favoured) with the patch 0.6d which is available so i can run Stella Deus from my HDD.

Here is where the problem starts, I cannot find a .elf file on the internet (searched torrentreactor, isohunt, piratebay, torrentspy) so all i have to work with is the .iso's. Surely there must be a way of updating these? is there not a program i can use to extract an .elf file from them or something?ive also checked for updated HDL in all the sites above and more but no luck. You see i want to load my HDL from a cd like i do now, so i dont have to go through even more hassle to learn how to use the MC exploits and stuff. Please help

PS. Once i have succeeded in updating (if i ever do) ill be posting the image file on a torrent site for those people who have bought the original to download for ease of use, i only wish someone else could do that just now, but i guess you cant get everything!!!

well thanks for all your help, my advice to anyone having the same problems as me is to go over to http://www.exploitstation.com which was alot more helpfull, there i could download an allready patched version of the hdl0.6 elf, think this place is a bit high brow for me.

yep, good catch, i was just going to tell that... they have a tut for making a bootable cd from that elf.

hey there, if anyone was wondering ive put a torrent file with a bin/cue version of the new HDLoader here

just burn it and stick it in your ps2, much easier than .elf files and stuff.
