Need help from some advanced HD users –

Ok, I did a bit of searching and I still need a bit of help/clarification. I have a V7 PS2 and a Magic 3.1 modchip.
I want to use the PS2 Independence exploit to FTP to my PS2/harddrive/memory card. I want to be able to use LaunchElf or a similar tool to be able to FTP .elf files to my PS2 and load them without having to burn discs. I would like to burn as few discs as possible.
From what I understand, I have to first load Execftps onto my memory card with the exploit.
If I got the FTP from PC -> PS2 connection working right, would that let me do everything I want to do? Is it possible to change out the boot.elf on your memory card exploit to boot something else, via FTP?
So basically, I install Execftps and run it with the exploit. Then I can FTP into my PS2 and make folders etc to add HDLoader etc. I want to change my PS2 Independence exploit to boot LaunchElf and all that.
Please tell me if I have the right idea or if I'm doing something wrong. Am I on the right track?

Oh, also. If I have HDAdvance already working, is it possible to create an ISO with Execftps on it and load it with HDLoader? Can you install the memory card exploit through an image on the ps2 harddrive through HDAdvance, instead of making a CD? That would be awesome.

You seem to have it down packed.
your second post with the idea of adding an iso of execftps to an hdloader partition should have no problem loading and letting you add more stuff to the memcard.
although running stuff from the hd like that is not a very efficient use of space so make sure you run it from mc when you are able to configure it like that....keylauncher and launchelf are good but I haven't actually tryed launchelf yet

yea you got the gist of it lifegrind. basically just make launchelf the designated BOOT.ELF in badata-system then put the other programs in the HDD or MC. note that each partition on HDD takes at least 128 mb of space so just a light note if you have a small HDD. launchelf lets you specify programs to run after you set it up so its a bit different from keylauncher.
