need help putting iso's on my ps2 hd off my pc
Hook the HDD up to your computer and use WinHIIP to install the images on the drive you just installed
ok w33d3d was kinda vague. ( first things first tell me you have a network adapter)
make sure the computer is off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
open up the case on your pc... connect the hdd from the ps2 with one of the open ide cables ( the flat grey cables connected to your cd drives, but find an open on eif you have one ) then connect a molex power cable the white smaller cable has four holes i think.
Now boot the computer you may get an error that one of your drives is not found ( if you had to unplug a disk drive ie if you have two disc drives in you computer you will have to unplug one leave the dvd drive if you have one)
just hit f1 i believe ( windows xp) then everything should boot like normal.
Now do you have winhiip. if not its found in the very top post in this (hdd) section created by gadgetfreak.
now run winhiip and *off to find out how to run winhiip opening it now*
hit the select drive button= should come up with two drives pick the one that is your ps2 drive if you havent formated it you should be able to in winhiip ( sorry i dont know how to do that)but thier is a button for it JUST PLEASE DONT FORMAT YOUR PC HDD make sure you pick the one that is the same sinze as your ps2 hdd.
now for putting real (pressed) games on your hdd you have two choices
1. put the disk in the dvd drive click "add cd/dvd" pick the drive that the disc is in and the rest should be easy...( i dont have my ps2 hdd in right now so i cant ues the functions of the program)
2. make an iso of the game using dvd decrypter or alcohol 120 or anything else really ( i think) then click "add images" and go to the place that the images are stored on your compter and click start ( you may have you click open first in the file search ( i dont remember)
Now if you want to install a pal game or a back up you will have to use step two from above and that should be that
DONT REMOVE THE HDD UNTILL YOUR COMPUTER IS COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. IF YOU FEEL THE HDD VIBRATING AFTER THE COMPUTER IS OFF WAIT FOR IT TO STOP
tats all thier is to is post back with your results
