How exactly do i get my seagate ide 60gig drive to work in my crystal 1.1 modded ps2.
All i want is to play games from the hdd.
Read thru the forums and nothing works. Probably hasnt done it right.

you need to get a official sony network adapter, then create a bootable cd from cdgenps2 containing a system file and the hdloader.elf, or thats the way that i would do it
Make a System.cnf with this:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\ELF.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
for example the contents of the cd would be
SYSTEM.CNF
ELF.ELF
DUMMY(I belive is not necessary but just in case)
Example for HDloader:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\HDL.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
The contents of the cd:
SYSTEM.CNF
HDL.ELF
DUMMY

yes you can, youll just have to boot hdloader, format your hdd and then swap discs
