n00b needs help getting startet with the HDD

hi there,
i have installed my hdd in my ps2. i allready copied exec ftp to my hdd, am able to start it and am able to conect my ps2 to my pc via ftp. i can use flash fxp to see my hdd,mc etc.

now what i want to do is: install games via this conection, and install appz (like mc manager) onto my hdd.

do i need to install this ftp_client file on my ps2 (and is it possible to do that w/o this ps1 game stuff as i dont have one).

and lastely, can i install .elf files onto my hdd via flashfxp???

do you have a mod chip in your ps2?
If not, how did you get the ftp client onto the hd?

jup have a messiah chip inside
