My Ps2 locks up a lot reading the HD Modules.

If i boot HDL from the memory card, it freezes at the HDLOADER screen and if i boot it from the HD it usually freezes at the Loading HD Modules screen. I'd say this happens about 6/10 times.

I have a seagate 120gb hard drive that i got at best buy this week. Im not sure what the serial number is but ill find out after schoool.

This makes me angry cause the 40 gb ps2 hdd i am borrowing works perfectly but not mine =(.

I have it in 48 bit compatability mode, master mode, and enabled the patching.

Please help cause i really wanna finish Killer 7

If your using a 120GB HD, you don't need to patch HDL to 48bit so try HDL on your Seagate HD without the 48bit patch.

I had this problem before, my ps2 would freeze when access the HD and I might get to games but it would freeze 5 mins into the game, later found out it was dying and it eventually starting smoking in my ps2.
