    Guys i recently removed my ps2 hdd and formated it in my pc, its been working for the last 4 years, but i put it back in my ps2, when to install my ule exploit and when the disk checks my hdd it says error hard disk not connected, ive tried two hdds and i get the same error message.

    Whats caused this, will i ever be able to use a hdd again?

    Please Help, desperate

    how did you format it?
    did you check the pins in your network adaptor (bend or dirt)?

    pretty standard problem, uninstall and reinstall it a few times, booting it up each time, eventually it will detect it. If not your hdd is dead, or your na is dead, or the port is dead.

    Okay guys, i think i had the jumper in the wrong connector, ive re installed the ule exploit and matrix formatted my hdd. Ive since taken out the hdd and connected it to a ide to usb adaptor, but winhiip is giving me very slow speeds, similar to copy them across the network...Any tips please?

    That's my guess, though I find I have to disable/close a bunch of regular startup stuff to get it running at full speed. Virus checkers, anti-spyware programs, and such slow it down for me.

    yep it was the usb to ide cable, i bought a proper usb 2 enclosure and not only are all the games loading in super fast time, they actually appear this time, so all my ps2 problems are solved - many thanks for all that help
