    Not anymore, the fix:

    http://www.ps2hd.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3790

Basically when saving using HDL, the icon files aren't transferred correctly to the memory card, so the data shows up as corrupt. I tried the method above and it works great, alternatively you can just save from disc and continue playing from HD as well.

Woa, thanks. I got a question though: Is it possible to do it without the original disc, without a modchip and without a router or crossover cable? Like going into the iso file installed into your hd then copy the files from there instead of from the disc? I'm using ps2menukk or something like that btw. Thanks.

Hmm, nope not that I know of. There aren't any PS2 apps that let you browse the contents of HDL partitions :\.

Man, this sucks. Is there a way to copy the files to another partition readable by ps2-menu from the comp then copy them to the memory card? Like I'd just put the hd in my comp, copy the files to the partition, then put the hd back in my ps2 and copy the files with ps2-menu to my memory card?

Unfortunately there aren't any PC tools either that can be used to upload files into partitions on a PS2 formatted HD. The only PC tools that can do anything at the moment with PS2 HD's are the game installers, HDLDump/WinHiip etc etc. :|
