  1. #1 Mode 3 with HDL 0.8a?
    Karmasunra Guest
Apparently I need to run the HDL in mode 3 to play certain games, but when I press "select" I don't see the option to.

I'm sorry I searched high and low and I can't find any information as to how to play any games in MODE 3.

I understand that games run automatically in mode 1 and mode to is activated by pressing both time fixes, so how do you do Mode 3?

    thank you so much.

I think there are a few things you can check. first when you boot hdloader what dma mode are you selecting? if you select one of the mdma modes this will disable the funtion of the select button. second did you patch the elf yourself? on the off chance you may have gotten a child safe version.

hmm, games do not automatically run in mode 1! mode 1 = slow hdd access and the time and date fixes are seperate from mode 2 (= disable dvd9 support).

I would switch over to 0.8b.

You can also enable whatever mode you need for a specific game in HDL's regular mode, then restsrt HDL to use UDMA/MDMA modes & the Modes 1, 2, 3, etc will still be enabled
