    ok iw as trying to u/l the img of xenosaga to my ps2 so i put the HD in my pc did some testing untill i find the tutorial to pass dvd9, i i turno off the pc put the HD and now my dvd unit dosent read dvd or cd`s, i know it must be something i did but damn i got no clue of what it could be, becouse windows detected it apears in the bios and it has power it just dosent read any cd or dvd.

    any clue of what can i do couse its been 3 hours and i don know

    might sound stupid but are you sure the ide cable is plugged in all the way on the drive and your mainboard?

    yeah, i already check most of the stupid mistakes i could make, enegery is ok, ide is , ok, i update the firmware just in case, but i got out of ideas, i think that maybe the lens is dead, but the drive has like 7 month

    that doesn't mean a thing. i had a pioneer a05 dvd burner which died after 3 weeks. the new one i got 2 month the next 1 day and then i got my money back and use a nec now which works well for over 6 months now.

    i've had my pioneer ao5 since they were release and it works perfect, i've never had a problem

    Scan-C mines dead i went to the store i will get a new one in a week, damn first my ps2 lens them my dvd burners is dead, i hope they use good lenses in the ps3, now i`n just workin in modding my ps2 for using the mobile rack for the hard drives
