start ps2link, then load mcloader, then copy over a BOOT.ELF, and the .db file
that's how i did mine, check ps2reality.net for the details
I assume ur refering to this document
http://www.ps2reality.net/showdocument.php?t=26450
unfortionatly its not in english.
the other thing is how do i format my HDD(not official) 2 a ps2 hdd. will the mcloader do that 4 me?

I'm also very interested to know if this is possible, any info at all would be really cool
okay so start up ps2link on your ps2, inlink on your pc, then load mcloader.elf via ps2link, learn how to transfer files between the two via mcloader (it's all in the mcloader readme), and under memory card manager i believe are options for moving your desired boot.elf and title.db from mc root to the exploit directory (basystemdata or something).
Actually I think what he's asking is how to get the MC exploit running if all he has is an HD Loader disc - without a modchip or boot disks.
And no, there's no way to do it.
i saw on another thread that a guy has his mc exploit on his memory card and he could copy the block from one memory card to another, he said it booted using FF Tactics (which i have). so what if he transfered that save spot to PC and sent it to me, is there any way i can put it back onto my memory card?
im just a noob here so ull have to explain this 2 me also, having the mcloader installed basically runs hd loader from the memeory card correct, so would the mcloader on the memory card format my harddrive ?
as for ROB,if i was going to use ur method (i'd rather do that memory card thing using ff tactics) how do i get ps2link onto my ps2?
burn a cd-r
That would be me I guess... If I did try to transfer the save yo you, you'd either need to have a MAX Drive or send me a Memory Card in the mail. MAX Drive is the only way I have to transfer save files to my computer, and you need one to use any saves I transfer with it. There is no question about the transferability of the exploit, as I have now hooked 6 friends up with it (with unmodded US systems, after a friend with a modded US system installed it for me) and it works on all of their systems with their own FF Tactics discs, so the Your System Configuration file is not at all console-specific.Originally Posted by Jehuty77
My file also boots with the US versions of Breath of Fire IV, Namco Museum Volume 3, and Star Ocean The Second Story Disc 1, and four of my Japanese PS1 discs (Tales of Fandom Volume 1, Tales of Phantasia, Slayers Royal, and Ranma 1/2 Battle Rennaisance) in case I misplace a disc or loan one out. Of course, I have one file each for my Japanese and US systems, since they don't share configuration files. I'd provide my Japanese system file except that my MAX Drive software won't detect it to let me copy it, as well as not detecting any of my other saves that have all-Japanese names for the save files.
