Megaman Anniversary Collection NTSC?

Anyone else have troubles with this game? I am trying to play Megaman 1 and it always ends up freezing up on me during the game, without fail. This time it froze as soon as I killed a certain enemy. The harddrive just constantly seeks (bright light from inside the ps2) and the sound freezes on the note it's at and the action stops moving.

I installed the game twice via winhiip (downloaded version of the game) and it still doesn't work.

Sounds like you can't trust everything ripped off the 'net. I would try buying the original and creating a new image.
