MC exploit with non-mod ps2 w/crossover or sharkport
MC exploit with non-mod ps2 w/crossover or sharkport –

I have a unmodded ps2, two memory cards with a network adapter and 40gb hdd. I also have a shark port, crossover cable and original hd loader version c. I want to run hdloader via mc exploit with 48bit support. I think I have all programs and neccesary files to pull it off. I've read all the forums in the site and the tuturials I've found are for dms modded ps2's. I also have about 20 psx original games laying around. I have no programming experience what so ever but can follow directions. I am highly computer literate. Could someone give me a tutorial for getting neccessary files onto the memory cards so I may take advantage of 48bit support for my hd loader?

This may seem like a dumb question but how exactly are people patching 48bit to the exploit file. I read all the messages but every only seems to say that it works. I don't remember them saying how they actually used the patch. Is it possible to patch the exploit before putting it on the memory card? And if so how?

My advice would be to get the MC exploit up and running on your system first so you know exactly how to do it. After that worry about the 48-bit patching. That way if you run into problems along the way you will be able to determine where your issues are more easily.
As for patching, you will patch the HDLoader.elf file, and then reload (or load) the exploit to your memory card.
Good Luck!

I've actually gotten the exploit loaded onto my memory card. I used a homemade swap tool along with AR. I'm not sure what I have to do to get it 48bit patched. Could you tell me how to patch the files to use 48bit. The following files are in my file folder which i used to make my first cd-r to mc exploit. BOOT.ELF, HDLOADER.ELF. IPCONFIG, PS2IP.IRX, PS2LINK.IRX, AND PS2SMAP.IRX. Could you please tell me how to modify the neccessay fils to patch 48bit. I think I already have all the files downloaded.

Search for the HDL AIO in the forums it will patch your elf for you. Its in the HDLoader with 48bit LBA support testing needed! thread.
