Madden 2005 is dual layer?
Madden 2005 is dual layer? –
I've never tried to put a DVD9 game on my hard drive before, but today I attempted to put Madden 2005 on there.
I used DVD Decrypter to make an ISO (madden2005.iso). The ISO was 6.47gb. I opened up the ISO in Apache2 in order to combine the two folders as per instructions I've seen elsewhere in these forums, but Apache told me that the ISO contained only one layer.
Confused, I used Winhiip to inject that ISO onto my PS2 HD (connected via a USB enclosure) and then I fired it up. I haven't played the game yet, but it loaded up just fine. Although it had the usual Madden 2005 problems seen when playing from the HDD (e.g., can't play demos), everything else worked fine.
So, my question is, is the game really two layers? How come I didn't have to do all that other crazy stuff with CDVDgen and/or IML2ISO? What am I missing here?
um...madden2k5 is not dula layer unless u got the collector edition
Ack! Sorry, sorry, that's what I meant. Madden 2005 Collector's Edition is what I was trying to copy to my HDD.

i not sure bout that all i know is that collector's edition is dual layer
Umm, gee thanks. Anybody with more helpful insight? I suppose it doesn't matter TOO much since the game seems to play just fine now, but it'd be nice to know if I did it right. Am I extracting DVD9 games improperly?
Here's another idea. When I made an ISO using DVD Decrypter, it was 6.47 gb. This makes me think that it combined both layers into one ISO for me (i.e., it "flattened" the layers). Maybe this is why Apache2 told me there was only one layer in the ISO? That's what I think, but I'm a noob when it comes to DVD9 games and a PS2 HDD.
I appreciate everyone who has tried to help, but I'm not asking how to copy a DVD9 game. I've seen the instructions, and I've tried to follow them with Madden 2005 Collector's Edition, but I've just never seen a second layer in my extracted ISO.
