loader idea

i tried creating a disc image with keylauncher that would launch these applications

Faplink v0.87.1
DMS HDD Format Tool v1.0
ExecFTPs v0.68
PGEN v1.22 27/07/04
Cogswap Loader v1.0
CDLoader v7 BETA 5.2
PS2Reality Media Player v1.50
PS2Link v1.22
MC Killer
PS2Menu-K v0.31

i didnt realise until after i had installed it that it was looking for the elfs on the MC..

the keylauncher looked promising, except that it loads ps2menu-k to being with.. it would be cool just to have something like disc launcher which just looked for elfs.. also keylauncher would not boot with hdloader..

a program like this would be cool, so you could go through hdloader for everything.

if anyone has any idea's, let me know.

I think the point of Keylauncher is that you run HD advanced from Keylauncher, not vise versa. So you have ps2 keylauncher as the BOOT.ELF, so that loads up instantly, and then from there you can launch anything you need.

1) i cant get hdadvance or hdloader to boot from keylauncher (v0.1, v0.2, & v0.2+)
2) i would rather use a 128mb partition on my hdd, instead of blowing half my MC

oddly enough, everything monkey01 said can be done with the ps2menu tool. (not to be confused with the crappy -k version) PS2Menu is growing in age, however its features are still top-of-the-line.

KeyLauncher makes booting the applications you like somewhat easy, however from ps2menu, all you do is highlight the elf and press X. How hard is that? Not only that, but it also allows booting of elfs from hdd...

that's true...KeyLauncher may make things quicker but for those who are using ps2Menu, it's more powerful because you can do more with it...I mean ps2menu is the only one i use since I can boot most of the things with it...

yeah, it dosent work.. hopefully it will in the future.. but im not willing to code it..
