a little bit of help

I have a modded ps2 with an original hdloader.

I transfered some games with winHIIP and hdl_dump.
They all show up in the hdloader menu but all I see is a black screen when I want to play one of them.
The only game that will start is a cd game (we7) all the others are dvd games.
I also transfered a game with faplink but that did not show up in the hdloader menu.
When I want to transfer an other game with faplink (we7) then it gave me an error "could not create a partition"

When I look on to my hd with flashfxp I see that the games are only a few mb.
But when a see some screenshots from other users all the games have the mb's of the gamesize.

Can anybody help me with this strange thing, please?

Is there a tool that I extraxt the iso to the pp.hdl xxxx format so I can transfer them from my pc with faplink.

if anyone can answer this, i would greatly appreciate it. i am also suffering the same problem....games are loaded on in a similar way, but the black screen of death is all i seem to be getting. what gives? i know the games are loaded on successfully. and, they worked when on cd/dvd. and, my ps2 is recognising the hdd due to the list being complete.....help pls!

What type of modchips, ps2 versions and hard drives do you have. Did you even try using a different hard drive?

I have got a m2 pro, a ps2 v9 and a maxtor 160 gig.
I have tried it with an other hdd so I thinks that's not the problem.
We7 is a cd game and plays fine from hd.
But none of my dvd games will work.
Yesterday I have transfered hot shots golf fore with winHIIP and that it showed me the "claphandz'" logo and there it froze.

Playing the game from dvd it works fine.

It must be a tiny small thing to fix it, but I don't know how.

hmm... try this and see if t helps ... put an original game in the drive before you boot the game. Try this with hot shots golf.

?? What do you mean?
That after I see the hdloader menu I put an original game in and then???...

I mean ... have the game already (correctly) loaded on your hard drive. When you see the HDL menu open your disc tray, insert the original ps2 game in, close the disc tray, then, go to play on the menu your screen to play the game.

well, hot shots golf fore will not work anyway. the jap version woln't run either.

As for the other games, make sure to check th elistings for compatability modes. ALso note that only real games, and not DVD rips are on the compatability list. Just because the real game works doesn't mean the dvd-rip will.

it sounds like you keep trying games that simply aren't compatible with hdloader/advance. make sure you check the compatibility lists to see if the game is supported. if it is and it still doesn't work, try reformating the drive with dms hddformat, and transfer your games with hdl_dump

I have tried the following games:
Jak and Daxter (original dvd)
We7 (back up cd)
We8 (back up dvd)
Hot shots golf fore.

I installed Jak and Daxter twice, once with hdl_dump and once with the hdloader.
With hdloader everthing works fine and with hdl_dump it doesn't start.
We7 runs fine
We8 doesn't
Hot shots golf fore is willing, but freeze's after the 'claphandz logo'

With the hdloader it is known that it won't install dvd-r, but what's up with the hdadvance?
Cause if you can install dvd-r on your hd, then it's solved for now.

And I also installed the hdformat on to my mc but can someone tell what to do, because all I can do is rename, resize and a few others things.

Last but not least, so I must insert an original game, press play and they the game won't proberly don't start...
I have to ask this because I can use the internet only at the office.
Then I will try it at home later on.
