I have the exploit up and running on my ps2 and its hella sexy. But i've got a 200gig drive so when i want to play around with a new .elf i often find it doesn't support LBA48, which sux. So could someone post patched versions of elfs? particualary ps2menu v2.6, launchelf v3.4b, and ps2menu-k. Or better yet could someone show me how to patch .elfs for LBA48 support, so i can do it myself with any new elf i find?
I'm also beginning to wonder if hdld_srv.elf for hdldumb is LBA48 compatible...
Almost all hdd-enabled elfs that are worth anything have been patched to support the bigger drives now. If not, they're still in the process of updating. Just gotta search for them. If they are posted on this site, look in main thread regarding that elf. It just takes a little searching. Ps2menu-k has been patched in particular, I believe it's still kickin' around here somewhere. Launchelf 3.4 works fine for my 400GB drive unpatched, so I assume of course that already has the 48bit-lba atad.irx imbedded. When it comes to patching your own files, it's as simple as hexediting on most elfs. (have to be unpacked first if they are....packed).
and what exactly do i need to change when hexediting the file
Me too. Can you post it here??
