First off there was no reason to make 2 post like that, just minute apart.

There have been some that work with the PS2, and many that don't work, it might just have to be trial and error.

And we need questions that are a bit more specific.

nanna, nanna, boo boo. stick you head in doo doo. I can sound childish too. And please lay off the caps lock. it's considered shouting and not appropriate for forums and social sites.

Now, on to making sense of this thread.
You want to know if you can format the hard drive with winhiip 1.7.6 to the PFS format that HDL uses. Yes you can if you have some adapter you can attach the hard drive to a computer with. you would have been able to easily test this instead of creating a whole scene about this. Personally most of us are a test first, ask questions later if it fails kind of people.

    Stop shouting!
Writing with all capital letters is considered very rude in all PS2 forums, so just don't do it.

As for your question, it is you who have supplied too little specific detail to allow us to answer it as you would like us to.

We have no idea what precise HDD drive you are using, nor what extra adaptor you will use to connect it to the PS2 network adaptor. So we have no idea if that particular combination can work or not. (Even if you named them, we could not be certain unless one of us have tried the exact same combination.)

All we can say is what the other guys already told you, that similar adaptions have worked for some people, while others who tried it have failed. So it can be done, but remains to be seen if you can do it with the stuff you have.

Your own success and failure depends entirely on the hardware you are using and exactly how you will do that, which we still have no clue about because you never told us any details...

However, rather than spending money for using an old and tiny HDD like that I would personally prefer to buy a PATA-SATA adaptor to use a modern large HDD instead. So that is what I would be doing (and plan to do in future to replace the current 320GB PATA HDD of my PS2).

    Edit:
@Bootlegninja: I was too slow typing again, so you got in before me...

    Best regards: dlanor

worthless. I'm not busting my ass to search everything out, try to figure out exactly what your specific question is (since you refuse to ask it) and write out a detailed guide on what you need to do for this clouded and unknown task that you want to do.

your little fits of rage and tantrums are completely uncalled for since NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE ASKING

Now, in your next post, you will:

    1. Ask your question in a clear concise fashion.
    2. Link us to the adapter in question.
    3. lose the damn attitude.
4 apologize to the people here trying to help you.

If you can not comply, cease any attempts on this topic.

Edit - upon examination of his last post, I found that he obviously can't figure out how to use image tags correctly. Lets shed some light. on this.
