    Hi

Im trying to get the exploit loaded onto my memory card so I can boot hdloader without having to swap cds. Ive followed the guide at ***website to make the exploit cd but i cant get it to boot.
I am using the swap magic disk to try this and ive always had to use the cd loader from the swapmagicfix website to load any cds so I did it in this order original swap magic cd >> cd loader >> exploit cd doing this results in an invalid media message, ive also tried loading without the cd loader just going original swap magic cd >> exploit cd but that doesnt work either can someone advise me please.

here's the correct process to using CDloader....

after CDloader load, you can't just put in your CD-r...you have to PRESS eject and put in a ORIGINAL CD PS2 GAME....after it REFRESH to TOC, YOU'LL see a PS2CD at the lower left corner....when you see this, fliptop/slideCard/HOLD eject for non-solder chip....then swap in your Exploit cd-r.....hope this help

Check my bros site...it's simple but get the message across...IMPORT LOVERS...CAR THAT IS...

I just found a catch with using the exploit in the way I intended... It patches the Your System Configuration file when it installs the exploit. The problem is that I was trying to use the exploit to run HDLoader on my Japanese system, and the only person who could install it for me had a modified US system. It patched the US system configuration file, and my Japanese system doesn't use that file, so the exploit won't boot.

I've heard of being able to use an Action Replay V2 to boot the CD to install the exploit, and I have one for my Japanese system. What exactly do I need to do to be able to get the AR2 to boot the CD? Otherwise, anyone in the US/Canada with a modded Japanese system that would install it for me?

i dont see the point of this. you need the psx cd in the drive to use the exploit, why dont you just use the HDLOADER disc?

i dont want to have to use swap magic to boot the disk everytime and it would be alot easier if i could just put in the psx game and have it load up from the memory card.

ive tried what you said agee but that didnt work either im wondering if i have burnt the exploit cd wrong ? is there any special way you need to do it

I followed the same guide from MaxConsole, and at first I couldnt get the exploit-CDR to boot , but CDLoader did the trick..
BTW -> u wont be able to boot any CDr's without the use of a SwapDisc or hw mod, for that matter!

    [Edit]
I have got my totally unmodded PS2 independent!! The problem is really the DADATA, DEDATA and DIDATA thing. Guys, don't waste any more CDRs on this mistake.
    [/Edit]

My problem is somehow related... I noticed the system-file-being-patched-effect too...

    Here it is

I have read many many tutorials about the related topics. I tried many methods but I never succeeded even once in making MC Exploit to work for me...

    PS2: 37000B I think it is a Jap v7.
    Modchip: NO.
    Installation: through a friend's DMS3 modded PS2
PSX Disc: Beatmania Append 4th Mix, NTSC-J
    PSX DISK-ID: SLPM_862.66
In case anyone has the same configuration...

I found something on Sjeep's 'PlayStation 2 Independence: The PS1DRV Hack' about BADATA-SYSTEM, BEDATA-SYSTEM and BIDATA-SYSTEM. So is it the problem? Should I use the BIDATA-SYSTEM instead of the other two? How to do that for myself on my friend's PS2? Can someone confirm this? I am really tired after trying so many times. Any help will be appreciated.

Well, I got my exploit installed. My system configuration files for both my US and Japanese systems are patched to run, and it works on both. It has enabled me to play my imports on my US system without a mod, and now my friends have access to imports if they have me install them.

Also, I found out that you can copy the system configuration file to another card and the exploit will still work. I've passed the file on to several friends cards just by copying it, and I made sure to program the exploit to trigger with a game we all have, Final Fantasy Tactics, along with a few of my Japanese PS1 games. The system configuration file is also recognized by my MAX Drive software, so I can put it on my MAX Drive, transfer it to my computer, and send the file to others with a MAX Drive (as long as the crushing of the file that results from transferring it to the pen drive doesn't mess up the program...).

The games it will trigger with right now are:

    Breath of Fire IV
Final Fantasy Tactics (including the Greatest Hits version)
    Namco Museum Volume 3
Star Ocean the Second Story (Disc 1)
My PlayStation2 HDD guide. NTSC J SCPH 30000 with HDD and PSBBN 0.32
NTSC U/C SCPH 30001R Astral Blue LE PS2
