is there any way of seting up a standard ide hdd to work with a ps2. i have an old 6gig laying around that i would like to setup to work with it. is there a kit or adaptor that will alow it to be setup or do you have to use the official ps2 hdd?

also if i get the network adaptor will it interfear with the hdd if it is internal? my ps2 is a v7.

or would a usb hdd be a better way to go and can you just use a usb pen drive?

What about buying the network adaptor,
there are rumours it also has IDE controller.

A pen drive is nice for saves.

6 gigs would be enough to store 2 games, max. I'd look into getting a larger one, and according to a lot of people anything under 40GB won't work. But you'd need the network adapter to let the PS2 talk to the HDD.
