IDE HDD info
is there any way of seting up a standard ide hdd to work with a ps2. i have an old 6gig laying around that i would like to setup to work with it. is there a kit or adaptor that will alow it to be setup or do you have to use the official ps2 hdd?
also if i get the network adaptor will it interfear with the hdd if it is internal? my ps2 is a v7.
or would a usb hdd be a better way to go and can you just use a usb pen drive?
What about buying the network adaptor,
there are rumours it also has IDE controller.
A pen drive is nice for saves.
6 gigs would be enough to store 2 games, max. I'd look into getting a larger one, and according to a lot of people anything under 40GB won't work. But you'd need the network adapter to let the PS2 talk to the HDD.
It could fit all the ScummVM titles...
so all i need is the network adaptor. cool ive been planing on getting one. would i need to do any modefications or will it just plug in like a standard ide in a pc?
most IDE HDDs will plug directly into the NA....
Staples has a 120GB Maxtor for $70 this week... ending on 12/24/05.....
