Today while digging up a little PS3 & XBOX360 news I ran across this http://www.divineo.cn/cgi-bin/div-cn/ps2-hdc.html Man is this thing for real and if it is can we get a product review or a little more info on it's stability and transfer speeds when compared to a regular (Fat Boy PS2 and a IDE drive) If this is old I do apologize but I would just like some info on this product if anyone has any. Thanx in advance D1 OUT!!!!

Wow that looks interesting. I wonder if there's any soldering involved.

www.hdcombo.com doesn't appear to be active yet.

I bet this is ownz' "big news" for tomorrow. You guys should post it on the front page and beat them to it

Their site's up now. If you can get past the engrish it looks like there's no info on the installation process or any other details that really matter.

I can't believe this isn't getting more coverage. This is potentially big news! None of the ps2 sites have mentioned it at all.

Looks like you got the scoop, d1anonly!

I love how they act like the molding must be good because it's done in Taiwan instead of China. Give me a break.

Also, it appears that the official spelling is "HD ComBo". Hooray for studlycaps.

That makes the slim not-so-slim anymore. It's funny how it almost makes it look like an older PS2 though.

I don't see how they could do it without soldering. It doesn't look like they are plugging into the USB port with the case, so it's probably a modified HDConnect setup.

Still working on my 2.5" HDD custom enclosure...
    v08 - DMS4 Lite EZI - 40GB drive.
v12 - New laser, master power switch, will install custom HDD
v12 - Dead, no power, blown fuses (experimental, parts)
