I think that most of us (scene members) know that the V12/v13 motherboard has an IDE controller as well as Ethernet controller, in other words an integrated Sony Broad Band Adapter. therefore, there have been several HDD connection kits to get a 3,5" HDD connected to the console and you'll need an alternative AC/DC Power adapter and a separated shell to keep the HDD in, which I don't like. That's why I have always been wanting to create my own connectivity kit that supports a 2.5" HDD. I knew that soldering about 30 wire into the motherboard and another 30 to IDE HDD is the best way to go and some real-time soldering skills are needed.
Being a professional chips installer and having some mad soldering I believed that I can get it done not easily but successfully. I wanted to start this project about three years ago, but I didn't have some free time and honestly I wasn't psychologically prepared to get such an insane job done. Well, last month I decided to start it, spending several hours on it nonstop, and after several failed attempts finally getting it done. installed GT4 DL and a patched version of HDLoader (3.6.2 if you're familiar with).
I just wanted to share with the scene members, I'll upload some pics ASAP.
You'll need the attached diagram if you want to give it a go
