I searched for help in threads already made but couldn't find help.

I have a version 13 with a HDCombo and a CC 2.0 Pro chip on it's way. I'd like to have room for as many games as possible while still working with the v12/13 patched HDL. Would 1TB be possible?

Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance you can lend

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure the latest version of HDLoader can support up to 2TB. However, the more games u have on HDLoader the longer it will take for your game list to load.
    PlayStation (SCPH-101)
    PlayStation 2 (v4, v9, v18)
    PSP 2000 (w/5.00m33-prometheus 4)
    PlayStation 3 (60GB)

yup 2TB is the limit as JointheAzn has mentioned. browse to www.sksapps.com and in the PS2apps section under HDD grab the latest version of WinHiip 1.7.6 (i think).

use WinHipp to prep your hdd but pay close attention to the 48bit patch as it will enable you to use a larger hdd.

btw, where did you order Hd-Combo from? i'm thinking of buying one.

everything said so far is true, but you should keep in mind that IDE HDDs only ever got up to 750 GB, so if you want 1 TB or larger you're going to have to buy a SATA drive. as far as i know the hdcombo adds an IDE connector, so to use that 1 TB+ drive you're going to have to add an IDE to SATA converter, such as those mentioned over in this thread: http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61272

So far everyone is correct, so i can only add to it and let you know that even if you do get a 1TB drive, HDL only allows up to 256 games in its listing, so anything over that you will not be able to run.

But i believe OPL doesnt have this restriction, so you might want to use it instead of HDL, reserving HDL for any games that might not be compatible with OPL.

    SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded
