Hi can you help me out, i am trying to send a image from my PS2 HDD to my PC and i get some error prompt after i press "START JOB" in the HDL_GUI.
Its odd because My PS2 & PC connect with each other fine as the HDL_GUI reads the PS2 HDD, i see all my games there when i press "read TOC" in the GUI. But the problem happens when the transfer process (from ps2hdd to pc) is about to begin, i get this error message.
-----------------------
Fehler
-----------------------
HdlDump Client
Reports an error
Unknown error

How can i fix this

have you tried the non-gui version - you might get a better error reports from the command line

Will this method be safe?, i am scared of it erasing all of my games.

I meant is it safe and is it really related to what i am dealing with here?. Remember i am trying to transfer a game FROM my ps2 HDD, TO my PC's HDD and then i get this error.

That command line stuff is way over my head, i find it confusing. btw i try sending an image FROM PC TO PS2 and that worked fine, doing it the other way is where i get this weird error.
Some guy told me to use WINHIIP 1.75 and use the SCAN & REPAIR feature to repair this issue, he believes is a partions error because i have "removed" games using HDL.

Sometimes when you "Remove" a game from HDLoader it doesn't actually remove it creating errors with HDL_Dump, sometimes the APA Partition gets corrupted. You might need to use some command line stuff to fix it if that is the problem.
Or you can reformat the disk and start over.
