how to start hdloader without the dvd?

dunno this has been asked before as i am new here



i need some help with the hdloader my ps2 is an OLD 30001 and just about every game i play has DRE's.

while my hdloader works just not everytime like i would like it too. i have did everything possible to make the ps2 run as good as it can get cleaned it greased turned the laser etc.

then it hit me what if i could somehow start the hdloader without going thru the hassles of getting disc read error!!

like how would i go about making hdloader load itself upon turning on the ps2??

i have the hdloader but i dont see an option on it to do that in the menu..

if anyone can help me it woulf be greatly appreciated! it can bring new life into problematic ps2.

oh yeah i have a memory card too..

you could use the memcard exploit....but, you'd have to be able to load it to the memcard with a cd, then you have load it up with a psx disk everytime you want to use the exploit, so i dunno.... good luck though

nah man,......all u need is the HDloader.elf
ps2munu.elf (u can get on this site) and go to note pad and type
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\PS2MENU.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
save it as a cnl file.
now burn all these files to a cd-r...either do the swap trick or if u have a mod chip boot up the cd-r... it will go to ps2menu... format ur drive....then save the hdloader.elf to your HD. it worked for me now i just turn on my ps2 and ps2menu pops up, and i jusyt choose to run the hdloader.elf....took me a few days to perfect it but it works and now im getting it to save backups to the HD.

yeah but he might not be able to if he can't read disk very well...
