I bought the PS2 Network Adapter in order to save my backup games in one place on HDD. I currently have games on my external USB HDD, but I don't like it because almost every game has stuttering during videos and FMV.
    I have couple of questions:

    - Is it neccessary to have only ATA HDD for this to work, and which size is maximum limit (because I'm not sure if my computer supports ATA discs, so maybe I wouldn't be able to transfer games)?
    - How do I need to format HDD, NTFS or FAT32?
    - Does it have good compatibility with OPL like with external HDD, and there are no stuttering anymore?

    Thank you in advance.

You are going to need an IDE Hard drive and the best mind is around 40gb dont really know about the max I think 750gb?

but get a maxtor or seagate they work the best!

and yes HD Loader elf is alot better

You'll need an IDE. Once your have it hooked into your PS2, no format necessary, load up uLauncher and format the hard drive from the Misc menu. There'll be one of the things inside Misc called HDDManager. Enter it, then format your hard drive from there. You can now easily rip games from HDLoader, and then boot them however you'd like (I prefer Open PS2 Loader).

(Also, I assume you're using Free McBoot. You'll need it to follow this guide.)

    Edit: Sorry, forgot to answer.

Yes, stuttering should go away. Most games will run faster and better on the hard drive, though some have some glitches. For example, Tales of the Abyss would never run well from the hard drive for me, while Tales of Eternia ran 10x better with no load screens.

Itīs not a standard-format for the internal HDD, so your PC canīt read it if you format it, and you must use "Win-hiip" to copy the games, or manage it with ftp.

And one limitation of internal HDD is that you canīt save more than 275 games on it ....

    - Does it have good compatibility with OPL like with external HDD, and there are no stuttering anymore?
    YES......

Sorry OP, I hope you don't mind if I ask a question in your thread? I have a similar question regarding the IDE HDD too. I bought the Network Adapter and a 400 Seagate IDE HDD. Bought the SATA/IDE to USB Adapter for transfer games faster. I format the HDD with winhiip and already transfers games over to the HDD. Just to make sure I did it right, when you format your HDD using winhiip which application should I format it to? There were three choices, HDLoader 24bit, HDLoader 48bit, and Toxic? I format with HDLoader 48bit. Second, I want to ask if later on if I want to add more games to my HDD but I don't want to take it out of the PS2, can I just install the game from my USB HDD to the IDE HDD? Again, sorry OP for borrowing your thread to ask my questions.

For the size of your HD you need HDloader 48bit

If you have router or crossover cable you can transfer PC to PS2 no problem by this program
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f98/%5Ba...windows-58835/ ([APP] HDL Dump Helper GUI (for Linux & Windows))

or you can transfer games by HDloader with DVD

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

I already transfer all the games over using just winhiip. However, by using winhiip I have to take the HDD out of the ps2 everytime I want to transfer the games. Right now I already transfer a good amount. However, I want to know later on if I want to transfer some more over but without taking the HDD out. Is there a way I can just plug in my USB HDD and transfer the game over to the HDD that way? I don't want to rip games from the DVD because that is going to messed up the laser in the long run.
