    Hey everyone,
these might be noobish questions, but I tried the Search Function without finding what I needed, so please don't blame me for asking...

    The Situation:
    - Fat PS2
    - Network Adapter
    - MC with FMCB, uLE, ESR, HDLoader

Making .isos, patching & burning them works fine using ESR.
Copying Orig. Discs to HDD using HDLoader also works.

For some reason, I cannot get the PS2 to connect into the Network.
What I'd like to do instead is to put the patched .iso on a USB Stick and copy it onto the HDD.

There's much info out there, but I couldnt really figure out how to do that.
    - Do I need to use a PS2 Tool or just copy using uLE File Browser?
    - Where do I have to put the .iso on the HardDisk, so HDLoader or OpenPS2Loader can "see" it?
    - Is there anything else I have to consider?

    Thanks a lot!

You are not the first one, who asked this.

    The Situation:
    - Fat PS2
    - Network Adapter
    - MC with FMCB, uLE, ESR, HDLoader

Making .isos, patching & burning them works fine using ESR.
Copying Orig. Discs to HDD using HDLoader also works.
You also can use your ESR-Discs, to install your games to HDD.
HDL must be started, with the ESR-Driver running.
You can do that, by using ESR mc-version, or ESR GUI and the option to start apps with it.
Normally, this points to uLE, from where you can start HDL.

Btw.: This only works for installing games.
You can't have the ESR-Driver active, when you want to start a game through HDL.

For some reason, I cannot get the PS2 to connect into the Network.
Then the best would be, to find the error.
What have you tried anyway, in this direction?

What I'd like to do instead is to put the patched .iso on a USB Stick and copy it onto the HDD.
    1. Why would you even put a patched ISO on there?
Wether it is needed for USB-, nor for HDD-Gaming, but only for burned DVDs.

    2. The PS2 only has USB1.1. It would take hours, to copy only one game to the HDD.

There's much info out there, but I couldnt really figure out how to do that.
Simply, because there is no way to do it over USB (yet and probably ever).

    - Do I need to use a PS2 Tool
    No. Wether this,...

or just copy using uLE File Browser?
    ...nor that.

    - Where do I have to put the .iso on the HardDisk, so HDLoader or OpenPS2Loader can "see" it?
Nowhere, since both applications do not recognize any ISOs on internal HDD.
You also can move your games (NOT patched ISOs), to your PS2-HDD with WinHIIP.

    - Is there anything else I have to consider?

    Thanks a lot!
Well, like I told/wrote ya before...
You can use the ESR-Discs and install it through HDL.

im guessing you have a pc or laptop(with a laptop you need a way to connect the hdd to it through usb)
with a desktop you can open it and connect your hdd and use Winhiip v1.7.6(latest) to install your game iso's directly to the hdd and it is 3+ times faster then usb and network
please bare with me dyslexia is a pain

    3x only?
I bet, it is more then ten times faster in 'a few' cases.

To be precise, it's at least 66x faster (Let's say that the direct connection to the computer is at least at the ATA-100 standard).

the only reason i sed 3x+ is that some time if you use a usb adapter it is only 3x faster

now if you can hook it toa ide channel in side of your pc then yes i can be 50x faster then network to install games to an internal hdd
please bare with me dyslexia is a pain

Really? I never had this kind of issue, not even on a 1000MHz-AtlonXP; 256MB-RAM-PC with USB2.0.
Hell, even 5MByte per second is 10 times faster, than it would be on a PS2 with it's kind of crapped USB1.1-Implementation (where you're good, if you would reach 800-900KB/s).
Bandwith on PS2, from USB to HD is not more than 500-600KB/s.

Well, then you either are using USB1.1, or have no drivers/support for USB2.0 installed, or there is some other problem with your Hard- and/or Software.
