You need to open it up, and either take a picture of the chip, or something along those lines. We need this to help solve the problem at hand.

here is the features of your modchip :

but it doesn't support Dev1 boot any elfs from Memory Card .

The Duo 2 SE Chip has 3 boot modes.

    - PS2 mode
    - PSX mode
    - Disable mode

It is assumed that your machine is in the Standby mode, ie machine is not switched on

    PS2 games

    Method 1:
-Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
    -Insert PS2 game in tray.
-Tap RESET button once, the machine would reboot and then load your game.

    Method 2:
    - Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
    - Insert PS2 game in tray, the press EJECT button to close tray.
    - The disc will then take 2-5 seconds to be recognized and then boot.

To boot another game when already playing a game.
    - Press EJECT button.
    - The current game would then pause and the tray would come out.
    - Change to another PS2 game disc and tap RESET button once.
    - The machine would reboot and then load your game.

    PSX games

    - Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
    - Insert PSX game in tray, then press and hold RESET button to switch off machine.
    - Now hold the RESET button to start up your machine. Only release the RESET button once the Blue LED light of the Eject button lights up.

    DVD movies

    - Press EJECT button to switch on the machine.
    - Insert DVD movie in tray, then press and hold RESET button to switch off machine.
    - Now hold the RESET button to start up your machine. Only release the RESET button until the "blue clouds" comes up on the TV.

    Disable Mode

    - Hold the RESET button until the "blue clouds" comes up on the TV.

What about installing FreeMCBoot to your memorycard and configure it to autostart HDLoader installed on the same Memcard or USB?

Get the uLaunchELF cd here :

    http://sksapps.com/launchers/uLaunchELF_v4.40_CD.zip

once you are in uLaunchELF, put the contents of this archive on your USB-Stick/Drive:

    http://sksapps.com/exploit/freevast/Noobie_Package.rar

and install FreeMCBoot on your Memcard.

Once done, you can configure FreeMCBoot to automatic start the integrated HDLoader and you are done.

You are right, burn and start the image and put the files from the archive to a CD or USB-Pendrive or USB harddrive.

then you can access the files in uLaunchELF via the filebrowser entry and there mass: (if its on the USB) or cd: (if you burn the files to a CD).

You have to start the file FREE_MCBOOT.ELF this will install FreeMCBoot on your memorycard. Maybe you have to free some space first on the memcard.

Once installed the PS2 boots with a new Startmenu with preinstalled programms on your memorycard, HDLoader is one of them.

Then you can configure FreeMCBoot with the FreeMCBoot Configurator, also selectable from the new list.

set in e1 keys (or so) the AUTO function to hdloader installed on your memorycard (search in the folders of your memcard for the hdloader.elf file)

if you are stuck or need more help, ask here.

there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers ;-)

    Landru
