How to Install PS2 HDD Boot Loader

Thanks for the info... Actually My PS2's Lens is not working.... is there anyway that I can prepare the whole HDD through my PC.... I've tried Winhiip it does formats and installs PS2 images on HDD but when I plug in the HDD onto my PS2 it just wouldn't boot.... Please tell me how to Install Dev1 or Dev2 Boot ??

well you have to find a friend with a working Lens , Because there is no way to do it via PC with no way to boot any backups or homebrew first .

I thought with the right cable setup, it could be done...???

Is this a newer version PS2? So to speak.

without anyway to run backups or Homebrew its impossible since his lens also is busted .i maybe not understand your question very well but are you talking about Network Cable ?

Nope i think its Fatty one or V12/13 with Internal HDD using HDLoader

Mine doesn't work either....at all. The motor started sounding funky, and it
wouldn't read disks anymore.

Mine has the internal IDE 160GB Maxtor in it. And that's what I use for most of
my transferring. Pretty much always have anyway.

anyway if you have already away to Run Homebrew Like Dev1 or Dev2 .then it doesn't matter if the lens is working or not since you have already away ,if you know what i mean .

Some modchips allow you to install via a USB stick, so you would need to know what chip you have and if it supports installation via USB.

Theres not much advice we can give without knowing the modchip you have, other than what we have already suggested.

See Actually am a Cyber Cafe Owner and I have 3 consoles... 1x SCPH-90004, 2x SCPH-70006.... I use DVD's with 90004 model casue I think u can't attach an IDE HDD to it..... and well the other 70006 ones one of them have a working HDD on which I think DEV installer is installed and I've to prepare a HDD for the other one....
