using a rack mount 7200rpm 8mb cache drive i get up to 28mb a sec
from ethernet yes quite normal i get 750KB/S normally (if you get some dummy the massimun is 3mb/s)
thanks for the replies.
i just installed hdl_dump 0.7.3 and i get 885KB/Sec it will take 90 minutes for the game to get to the hd. Is the new one(i just seen now 1.1) is that faster?
its faster and easier to connect. I also noticed that it doesnt disconnect after a few minutes like FAPlink.
any other program you suggest i should use?
im connected through a router(wireless g)
also can i take out the ps1 disc after i connect with hdl_dumb? it seems to be running in the ps2 for now reason. Im half way through so i cant test.
thanks

FAPLink can't transfer files over 2GB... major program flaw (probably written with win98) so don't use it for large files....
If you have the time to connect the drive to your PC you can use WinHIIP to transfer files much faster.
apart from hdldump and faplink there isn't nothing other for ethernet game trasfer
