how to enable mode 3

noob question here, i have searched but not found an answer.

i just got HDAdvance 2.1 today and tried to put GT3 on the hdd, i get first two screens then it hangs. some threads sugest that mode 3 be turned on. how do i do this???

in hdadvance... when your game in the list is hilighted press select

cheers.. i thought it would be easy....
the instructions didnt mention modes at all........
