How do you use the unpack .exe's????

I've searched this whole forum on how to unpack and found nothing. The only help I get from reading the posts is get the .elf file and then run from the command prompt. I get that but what do you do from there. I got the ps2 unpacker and sjuncrunch but nothing is happening. All I have done is go to the directory in the command prompt where the unpacker is installed and type in xxxx.exe. That is all I know what to do. Can someone please help me in running these packers and unpackers.

Sorry, for being newbish. I'm just getting into this scene. I'm coming from the Xbox-Scene and I managed to learn how to do everything just by visiting the site from modding my XBOX to installing apps and networking. I come here and find programs and patches but no instruction or tutorial on how to use them. The readme's packed in with them don't even help. I'm still having a hell of a time trying to find out what the usual places are for the PS2-Scene and I still don't know what they are or is. I'm looking for something similar to the XBins channel but it has become a **tch to find out what it is. I've advanced search this forum and googled and yahooed and everything. Any help would be appreciated though. It just feels like this scene isn't very welcoming to newbies. Sorry for venting. If anyone can help that would be nice but I also appreciate those who come and read the thread at least. Thanks!!!!

i would suggest reading the readme files that come with the programs, they were a big help for me
