I put it inside another PS2...
huh? ...lol .... yeah you can keep it inside the bag and put some tape on the bag so that it does'nt get dusty.. you can then also put it in the HDD plastic case you must've got it its not broken...
so putting it the silver bag plus the plastic case is the way to go then? that's basically what i did.
what about if i just put it in the plastic shell/case that comes with every newly bought seagate hd? you know w/o the bag... will it be safe?
Aren't you a little freak out with your hdd?
The seagate plastic shell/case is fine, i mean it's safe in it from the manufacturer to your hands, so you can use it...or use the genuine sony hdd cardboard package...
sorry to bring this up again, but does putting it inside the seagate plastic shell/case WITHOUT the silver bag be safe/ok or not?
I leave hdds out in the open, in the bottom of big cardboard boxes just about anywhere and have yet to have one die on me. I also work at a community college doing computer support and we just leave them out so in a old seagate box without the static bag is perfectly safe.
They fit nicely into old VHS Cardboard sleeves. And no, the silver bag is nice, but not necessary.
So i shouldnt be using mine as a coaster?
