How to copy ELFs on HDD?
How to copy ELFs on HDD? –
I just modded my V12 (Crystal) with HD Combo (HD connect). Formated the Drive with Winhiip, put an Iso to the drive and launched the game with HDL. works fine so far. Next step: I want to copy some savegames and ELFs to HDD to launch them with ulaunchelf. But with ulaunchelf and also execftp it is impossible to access the drive. What I have to do? Heared something to format an seperated partition only for save games and stuff. What is needed for? Which partitions created by winhiip are really needed? Nearly 2Gig of 40Gig are wastet for several partitions by default. HDL is patched for V12 an works fine as mentioned.
or uLaunchELF is another option.
? my problem is - ulaunchelf doesn't work for me.

What I want to do is only copy some files from memorystick to hdd and lauch them with ulaunchelf. Is this silly mount unmount stuff really needed for?
I formated the drive with winhiip (see screenshot + made a main-partition with 128MB too) Is DMS HDD Tool needed to make another partition? Aaahh my space runs away..

Make a diskimage with uLaunch and some IRX files such as USBD.IRX on and inject it with WinHIIP.
or make an iso out of the elf u want to on your HDD with CDGENPS2, then send the iso to your HDD with HDL dumb like it was a game.
not all ELF files work though such as PS2 MP3 player.
uLaunchELF does not need any HDD at all, and when you have an HDD it doesn't need any special partition to access it. However, you do need some APA partition to store files in. It's not possible to store normal files inside HDL partitions (the ones named. PP.HDL.xxx), but HDL also creates some normal partitions that can be used (eg: __boot).

Do you, or do you not, see the name 'hdd0:' at the top level of the browser ?
None of us who develop uLaunchELF have a V12 (or later), so it is quite possible that some problem exists that is specific for the slim PStwo models. That is especially likely when dealing with the HDD, since that is an addon by third-party manufacturers, not designed for this model by Sony.

Yes I think you are on the right way! ulaunchelf runs from MC on my ps2. works fine for me to transfer savegames on memorystick an runs ELF files from memorystick and so on. the only prblem is accessing the hdd. Hdd is shown in filebrowser when i try to open "hdd" I hear the disc is spinning up, but the folder is empty (..) Do you know about the bug that V12 needs a patch in hdl to launch the hdd properly? If the patch isn't installed the hdd ever on boot seems to be empty and needs to be formated. There is a patch I think automan made it, who makes it possible to acces the drive properly. Therefor I can start the Games but have no acces by ulaunchelf I think. I patched HDL myself with hdlpatch 0.7c but don't know what the patch exactly is doing. It would be a pleasure to test all of your betacode if you want to try something to make the §$&&/ hdd working with ulaunchelf.
