How to convert patched hdloader elf into bootable cd?

I have patched my hdloader elf and would like to make it into a bootable cd for my modded ps2 as the messiah chip i have installed requires multiple presses of the reset button to execute the mc exploit and it is less hassle for me to boot the hd loader from cd but i like the extra features the patched version has, is this possible? if it is could somone explain to me ho to do it?

here is a way. you could either use cdgen to make a cd. or nero to make a bootable dvd. follow the tutorial.look here

what files do i need on the disk apart from hd loader, the tutorial said copy files from cd over......my hd loader cd doesnt have an elf file on it.......i am a bit confused, cant i just rename hdloader to expinst and replace the expinst elf on the mc exploit cd? as that is the only bootable cd i have been able to make

iam assuming that the cd you are using is not the original and if this is the case either you have the hdloader elf or a slus file, which is the elf. if you dont have any of these youll need to find the hdloader elf create a system config and put a dummy file so its easier for your ps2 to read.

so to get it to work i would just rename hdloader to slus_***.** and replace the one on the disk.....if that is how its done i feel a bit stupid

no you dont have to do that. all you need is the hdloader elf system config and a dummy file. its better if you decompress the elf so its a bigger file and easier for your ps2 to read

I finally understand thanks for all the help hopefully this means i can make a bootable keylauncher cd install it with hd loader and never have to bother with multiple reset button presses at all thanks again for your help Davbere it was greatly appreciated
