I've downloaded the "ExecFTPs Standalone" release for v0.68. It contains a config.dat, execftps.elf, install, and system file.

If I create an ISO file out of those files and then put it on the hard drive using WinHIIP, do I need to do anything else? Instead of specifying the SLUS_xxxx file, do I just specify execftps.elf (when I specify the executable file, in WinHIIP)?

I'm pretty sure I'm missing a step somewhere...

(by the way, I only want to use ExecFTPs through HD Loader so I can access the memory card... I'd like to be able to upload my hard drive [HDLoader], but thats a bit more complicated I think)

Ok, I've modified the "SYSTEM" file to point to EXECFTPS.ELF and I've used CDGENPS2 to move the SYSTEM file to 12231. Then, I've converted the .BIN/.CUE to .ISO.

Then, I tried to install on to the HD using WinHIIP but it asks for the executable name and autodetects SLUS_666.66 and DVD. I've tried changing the SLUS_666.66 to EXECFTPS.ELF and CD but it doesn't work.

When I select "ExecFTPs" on my HDLoader, the screen turns black and locks up.

    What am I doing wrong?

Use cdmage to take out the corrupted sectors and it'll work. Open cdmage go to scan for corruption and point it to the .cue file. It will scan and then click "repair corrupted sectors". You will find these options in the "action" menu in cdmage.

When I scan for corruption using cdmage, it doesn't find any errors.

    Any other ideas?

Also, when I add the image to the hard drive using WinHIIP, do I use the defaulted SLUS_666.66 boot file and DVD?

edit: Here is the CD layout according to CDmage:

    Code:
    filename lba
    --------------------
    config.dat 12382
    execftps.elf 12232
    install.cnf 12383
    system.cnf 12231

By "caps" he meant that you should capitalize all the filenames.
The proper name is SYSTEM.CNF, NOT system.cnf, for example.

    Best regards: dlanor

    Ahh, thanks!

I'm not sure what fixed my problem, but I think part of the problem was the lowercase filenames and the other was that I didn't have a dummy file. When I used capital names and the dummy file it worked great!

    Thanks guys!
