Yes I know its not compatible with HD Loader, but I have another question. I bought this game on Friday and love it. I travel alot and like to travel light, so I keep all of my games on the hd. Now I hear that on the newsgroups there is a version that can be put on the HD. Is this true and since I own a copy of it can I put it on my hdloader.

Also what does all of the compatibility modes do?

    Thanks

The game is compatible if you enable mode 3 as far as I know.

mode 3, along with mode1-2-3 just gets you to boot the game, and to the SCES logo and then the intro after it checks memory card space it freezes. with no modes it won't boot at all.

Oh well, the people who made that addition to my compatibility list were wrong then.

I tried all single mode (no combos yet) and couldn't get it to work.
Mode three gets it to the Sony screen and that is it.
I'm guessing we'll be seeing more games like this in the near future.

Soul Calibur 2 doesn't normally work with HD Loader but when patched with a certain trainer file, it actually works just fine. Perhaps the case is similar with Hot Shots Golf 4. It would be nice to have a sticky post with fixable games for HD Loader (and dummy files too =).

The compatibility modes enable games to boot that doesn't otherwise. Like, Fight Night 2004 requires enabling mode 3 or it won't work.
