Homebrew using HDLoader and Declines HDDutil

I have been using the tools availible here, but still can't get homebrew to work on the HDD with Decline's HDD util.

Despite modest success transferring a few DVD9 images, I still can't get PS2 Reality, SM3, cogswap, SNES station, Pgen, or BOR to work properly on the HDD, even though the disc works great when booted from the CD tray, or mem card.

After loading them to the HD correctly, I get the black screen when I try to boot them from HD Loader or Free HD Loader.

Anybody else experience this problem?

I was posting in a thread about hard drive home brew over at ownz when it got nuked for posting elf files. Did anyone seem to catch that?

yeah, i tried to put a BroadQ iso using hdl_dump(gui by TheDecline) and all i could get was a black screen when trying to load it

I have the same problem with PS2 Reality. I don't think homebrews are working at the moment.

there must be a way in the coding or headers or something that hdloader uses that can differenciate homebrew from official games. I'm just not sure what verification methods it uses.

The problem simply is that homebrew soft does not use the $ony SDK to access CD/DVD.
They use their own (homebrew) method, and HD Loader just patchtes/relinks the official $ony SDK funtcions, not the homebrewn ones.

Has anyone else had a chance to look at this issue? SDK functions?

I have some iso's from ownz that were repacked to be TINY. To give the author credit I believe Sweetness possibly whipped them up, but the thread was nuked, so I don't remember. The isos work, but are prone to freezing.

I am becoming very fond of the HD Loader BSOD.

installing pgen from cd to hdd via hdloader worked for me!

Skm, i just confirmed it as well. PGen will install fine. Seems our friend sjeep likes to support himself and only himself...
