i tried searching the forums. but i couldnt find anything.
    i bought a ps2 hd with ff11 today. i have a v9 ps2 with a messiah2 chip.
so if i install the HDD my modchip will be disabled right? so i cant play a backup?
but if i remove the HDD i can use my modchip again right??
thanks for the help. i really aprreciate it.

not even, your chip should be fine with an hdd, although dnas may force you to use it in psx or sleep mode to load the installer software, with that chip you can rip backups to the hdd, too.
