Help: Patched HDloader starts from CD but not from MC o_O? –

Hello!
Well, as above stated I have the problem that the HDL I recently patched (with Zer0-X´s "hdlpatch_0.5c") can´t be started from MC (black screen) but when the CD is inserted it does work.
Strange thing is that I have already patched (manually) my "original" (unpatched) ELF once before and there is no problem with that version.
This is what I have done
D:\>hdlpatch /N /C /B /F /L unpackedhdloader.elf hdloader.elf
then I applied the "God of War" patch with "UltraEdit" and packed the ELF with the packer integrated in "Kevo´s BMP Batch 2.0" (also needed to change the pics) since the packed ELF was smaller (ca. 857 KB) than the one packed with "ps2-packer 0.4" (ca. 896 KB). At the end I burnt the ELF together with the (original?) Install.cnf and System.cnf in Mode 2/XA.
Installation was done with "DM(S) Explorer".
After the first trial I also changed additionally the values 2E 01 04 0C at offset 0x00001488 to 00 00 00 00 (values 06 1A 04 0C at offset 0x0000111C were already changed to 00 00 00 00 by hdlpatch_0.5c), but that didn´t work either.
As remark, my working version was only patched by changing the values at the offsets 0x0000111C and 0x00001488 to 00 00 00 00 (no CD in tray fix and copyright message removed).
Has anyone an idea what the reason could be?
I don´t know what to do else. -_-
Thanks a lot in advance.

I had the same problem. My solution was to use an elf launcher like keylauncher or launchelf. This was the only way I was able to boot my patched HDL.ELF. Before I was using a generic BOOT.ELF that was pointing to HDL.ELF and I tried renaming HDL.ELF to BOOT.ELF and neither worked. Try a launcher and it should work just fine.

Have you tried using the Exploit Title.db? I forgot who posted it. I do recall Jeex having it up. It's somewhere on the forums. That's the closest thing to a auto boot from MC for me (Using a Trigger disk.). HDL boots pretty much automatically w/out any input when I boot it up. Hope that helps.
