HELP Needed with ExecFTP

Hi All, Can anyone please help with ExecFTP. I have a ***3 modchip installed in my ps2 and have successfully installed execftp to the memory card where I can launch it from Dev.olution mode.

When I run FlashFXP I can connect to the ps2 ok. My problem is installing apps via FTP??? I know I cant install games to the HDD using this method I need to use HDL_Dump, but I need to put Hdl_Dump.srv on the ps2 first.
Normally I would just burn an image to a CD and Install it, but why cant I use FTP? Im fed up wasting cd's. So far I've found no use for the FTP Program.

I've also tried to edit \BOOT\MENU.txt on the memory card to edit the names on the Dev.olution1 Menu but I doesnt allow me.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I dont really understand what the problem is. Why dont you just put execFTP on a cd and boot it up on your ps2, connect to it, then send everything you need over to the MC?

you are using the raw command to get access to the hdd

SITE MNT /pfs/0/ hdd: (hddpartion name here)
e.g.
SITE MNT /pfs/0/ hdd:PS2MENU-K MC Backup

to connect the hdd to the pfs0 folder
