Help, HDd games boot to blk screen

I installed the original hdloader today, onto mem card using ***3 exploit.
Turns out that HDLoader freezes at logo screen, so i patched it to get it running.

It works when I rip my retail games, but when I try to start it, games boot to black screen for some reason.

I tried a version with /N /C, and /S only.. the /S has same (frozen logo) problem so I'm pretty stuck right now...

help?

What version PS2 do you have?

Don't use /S when patching. Just use /N /C /L and whatever other patches you want.

/S will freeze the HDL. Just use /N, no disc seek. If you need help patching, search and you shall find.

Yea thanks, my patching works.
i mean, it works up to a point that i play the game, and then the controller light turns off with a black screen on TV...and it stays there forever -_-

Ok, I got the latest bios and I redid the patch, still booted to black screen... maybe it's my HDL elf? or do i not need to pack it afterwards?
