    Hi guys,

just starting out connecting the hard drive in ps2 to pc. I have the hard drvie in the ps2 and network adapter all in.

I connected the ps2 to my bt router via ethernet cable. And i loaded HDloader onto the p2s it formatted the drive fine.

My next problem is how do i actually get the pc to reconise the ps2 using an ftp programme? Or settings in my home hub?

    Thanks

    Philip

You can't connect using ftp to your PS2 only using HDloader.
To transfer games you need to use hdld_svr, hdldump.psx-scene.com
(default ip of hdl_dump is: 192.168.0.10, but it's all in the HowTo info).

But transfering files/games over network is slow (max speed a get is about 2Mbit/sec).
Instead I'm putting the PS2 hd in my computer and use hdl_dumb with a gui front-end, which gives a max speed of ~20Mbit/sec

so what do need to copy onto the ps2 hard drive so that it loads up correct....i will connect it to the pc and set it up.

So i download hdldumpguiv13 do i copy all these files to the ps2?

Because when i click Refresh Ps2 in the programme is says there is no ps2 found verify the following.

1.The ps2 is running hdld_svr.elf and is inintialized.
    2. the ip address is correct and matchs the ip address in mc0:SYS-CONF/IPCONGIF.DAT

    Thanks so much

Pro Evolution Soccer 6, doesn't work with HDloader at the moment I think, saw a thread about it

Check out w w w.psx-scene.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=99 for games that work on HD, or list.ps2hd.com

if you have the correct ip address on your ps2 while running hdld_svr, you should be able to connect to it from your pc.
Have you tried a crossover cable connected directly to you PC from the PS2?
