HDloader won't load

New to the PS2 HD scene. Got the net adaptor, HDLoader and Seagate 80GB 3280011A but the HD is not recogonised. Been witht he tech guy in the shop, tried everything. Swapped another identical HD and it worked. Logical that my brand new HD is faulty but how likely is that. Do I have to prepare the HD in some way? Are there 2 versions of HD Loader (I am using a JP origin SPH 300000). Where is a real NooB guide that is well written? Thanks

Your hdd MUST be set to master (the little jumper).. that is most likly the problem... try that and tell up what happens.
