I've been trying to install Final Fantasy XII with the swap trick, but to no avail. I would put in Metal Gear Solid 3 to have it verify and show the naming window, then use the swap trick with a slide card to place the ISO (which I did patch) I burned into the drive, but when I start the installation it doesn't do anything except say "Installing...please wait" or something along those lines. I'm using a Sony DVD+RW, which I also used in the same method months ago to try out the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts II, which gave me no problems whatsoever.

Is it just not going to work or is there a certain thing you have to do? I extracted the ind-ffxi.iso file from the torrent, patched it with the PPF program, and burned it with Burn Image in Nero (and made sure to finalize the disc). I couldn't have any access to an external enclosure (no desktop setup to use that would work) to utilize WinHIIP for a couple of days at the very least which was why I am curious.

Thanks in advance. I felt that this was the most appropriate place to put this as it was HDL-related, but I apologize if it should be elsewhere.
