this is my first post, on the forums, so i wanna say hi to everyone
i ve been on other forums and i got no good answers back, i hope this will be different.
i m a noob when it comes to the ps2 scene, but anyway, here's my problem:
i have the ps2ownz hd loader, a 60gb maxtor hdd, a v9 pal ps2, modded with the alladin chip.
i put in the hdd, then hd loader formatted it, everything fine so far, but when i go to install game, i put in a game (tried both backup and original ps2) but it freezes at the checking disc window.
any idea what i m doin wrong?
i know there is a way to boot hd loader of the mc, but which is the simplest way for a noob? or is hd advance better?
thanks in advance for your help

I don't know about the problem you are having specifically.

However, you can boot HD Loader, as well as other useful apps, off the memory card but I doubt this will fix whatever problem it is you are having. The easiest way (or rather the only way) without any preinstalled software running on your PS2 is to make a CD that will install the exploit to your memory card. There are many tutorials available out there.

HD Advance is essentially the same program with cosmetic changes so it isn't better, more like the same.

ok, thanks for the fast reply. i found something on the mc exploit but its useless to me as i dont care about the swap magic way of doin it, since my ps2 can just boot everything without swapping. you wouldnt know a particular tutorial for people with modchips installed, would you?
do you know if tha ps2 key launcher disc is good? or maybe there is a link on the forums for a cd image with all the stuff on it?
