HDloader and MC locks

I have a weird problem

I am not able to play games off HD with MC on. I have a v4 ps2 and 60 gb IBM HD. I transfered the games with WINHIIP and HDLDUMP. The problem is that I cannot start the games with the Memory Card. All of the games simply lock up at start when checking for the memory card.

When I take out the MC all is fine. I try to put the MC in after booting the game, it locks up again when trying to save or load. MC seems to be working fine when booting games normally.

Also I can't seem to get Devil May Cry and Metal Gear Solid 3 games to work w/o mode 3.

I am fairly new to modding. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

well thats not really "modding" because we are not modifying anything to be exact...

but for me, devil may cry and mgs 3 seemed to work perfectly fine with no modes at all. I dont know what could be the issue with your one, but it may be the memory card itself? Is it an official sony memcard?

yes I am using the officel 8 mb card. I even purchased another one to test but the same thing happens
