I read various threads on different forums that you can boot hdloaderlite.elf from a max drive device.
Well i have tried renaming the file to autoexec.elf so it autoboots when you load the media player option in the max software. Just goes to black screen. I've tried leaving the file as found and choosing the file in the media player software. Just boots to a black screen.
I write the files to the max drive using v1.23 of the media creator software. i don't just drag and drop the files onto the device.
I have a V4 pal ps2 , ethernet only network adapter and iv'e tried 2 fujitsu HDD which supposedly work according to http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/
I don't wont to chip my ps2 and i'm not interested in paying for a flip top as i don't want to play backups.
If anyone has any useful suggestions it would be much appreciated.
